Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
The Pentwater Township Zoning Board of Appeals is comprised of five regular members and two alternates. One of the regular members is a township board member, one member is from the township Planning Commission and remaining three regular members and the two alternates are appointed by the Township Board. All meetings are at the call of the chairman.
About the ZBA
The Zoning Board of Appeals responsibilities are to interpret the Zoning Ordinance, hold public hearings on requests for variances to the Zoning Ordinance and to hear appeals on zoning ordinance violation decisions. Zoning Board of Appeals decisions may be appealed to the County Circuit Court.
